Pony Rides

For the little ones!

Our two beautiful Shetland Ponies, Oliver and Jelly Bean, and much loved Australian Riding Pony, Bonnie, are available for cuddles, pats and led pony rides.  Parents are welcome to walk along with their youngsters to help boost their confidence or wait with cameras ready for that big smiley-faced photo. 

Oliver, Jelly Bean and Bonnie are also available for children aged between 6 and 8 for our ½ hour rides so that the whole family can have fun together!

½ Hour Trail Rides

Great for families with younger children or nervous beginners! 

Taken at a gentle walk past our billabong where ducks abound, and through the rainforest surrounding babbling Cedar Creek, this ride provides a great introduction to horse riding, especially for children. 

Children must be at least 6 years old. Those between 6-8 years will be led by staff on our ponies.

1 Hour Trail Ride

Suitable for beginner to advanced riders.

Winding through rainforest along beautiful Cedar Creek, and venturing higher up the mountain via bush trails, riders explore more of picturesque Thunderbird Park. Experienced riders may trot and canter at the discretion of the trail leader.

Children must be at least 10 years of age unless they have had significant riding experience.

1 ½ Hour Trail Ride

Suitable for beginner to advanced riders.

With the mountain range towering in the background, and trails that snake through paddocks and bushland where you'll see wallabies and kangaroos bounding away, Woodstock provides a perfect ride. Experienced riders can feel safe to trot and canter on open ground.

Children must be at least 10 years of age unless they have had significant riding experience.

½ Day Trail Rides
Available for experienced riders only (must be able to control their horse and at least rise-trot).

This ride is for those who can sit longer in the saddle (2.5 hours) and who enjoy a faster pace. Rides are available on the property or for something different (when conditions are suitable) through trails and the State Forest across the road.

Children must be a least 12 years of age and have significant riding experience.

The Horses

We have a range of horses available to suit riders with any level of experience.  They are all exceptionally fit, well cared for and in very good condition. 

Whilst strong and used to negotiating the mountain trails, we regret that our horses are not suited to carry riders who weigh over 95kgs. 

We use Australian stock saddles which are individually fitted for each horse, comfortable to ride in and well maintained.
